How does HamsaPay work?

HamsaPay makes international payments as simple as domestic payments. We enable buyers to initiate payments simply and easily from their bank accounts as domestic payments and route the money to the seller’s account in Hong Kong within hours. As soon as the money arrives, the seller is notified and can commence shipment. Sellers can exchange their funds into multiple currencies and withdraw their balance to their local accounts at their convenience.

How is HamsaPay different to typical transfers?

The vast majority of international payments are still done by wire transfer, a method that hasn’t substantially changed for decades. With a wire transfer your payment can take several days to be completed, require numerous forms to be filled out, and it offers little transparency as to where your money is in the process. HamsaPay is different; the majority of our transfers are completed within 24 hours, we automatically populate the forms to remove the chance of manual errors, and we email you the status throughout the process so you know exactly where your money is, and when it has safely arrived.

How do I make an inquiry with HamsaPay?

To make any inquiry, please send us an email via help@hamsapay.com and include:

  • Your name, title, and company name
  • What your inquiry is about
  • What you’d like us to do to address the inquiry

What happens after I make an inquiry? HamsaPay will:

  • Email you that we received your inquiry
  • Ask for any extra information, if necessary
  • Research your inquiry
  • Notify you by email to explain what actions we took and why

How does my company make a payment with HamsaPay?
As a buyer, you simply respond to the seller’s request for payment as though it were a domestic transaction, and we handle the rest.

If this is your company's first payment with HamsaPay:

- You'll receive a payment link from your seller.
- Using the link, you will be prompted to the HamsaPay payment page.
- We’ll ask you to create an account using your email and create a password.
- Follow the instructions prompted upon registration to complete your payment.
- When the company payment is completed, you'll receive a confirmation email.

If the company is already register with HamsaPay:

- You'll receive a payment link from your seller.
- Using the link, you will be prompted to the HamsaPay payment page.
- Log in with your email and password.
- Follow the instructions prompted upon login to complete your payment.
- When the company payment is completed, you'll receive a confirmation email.

What do I do if my company may be the victim of a fraud or scam that involves HamsaPay?

If you've sent money using HamsaPay, or if you've sent money to a HamsaPay account, and think you've been scammed, you should do the following:
File a police report. If you’re the victim of fraud, a crime has been committed against you. You should report it to the police.

If you’re a HamsaPay customer, get in touch with us straight away. Email: help@hamsapay.com to get help from us. We might be able to stop the transfer before it goes through.

HamsaPay can supply legal authorities with information to help your case. If the money has already gone through, we can’t guarantee you’ll be able to get it back. But we’ll do everything we can to help.

How long does a payment take?

This depends on the following factors:

1. The country you’re sending from. Every currency and country is different. For some banks it can be as little as a couple of minutes (e.g. in the United Kindom). Usually, it will take up to one working day in Europe and up to 3 working days in the United States. In very rare cases it might take longer.

2. Which bank and transfer option you are using. Some payment methods are quicker than others. For instance, some banks have standard or urgent transfers, which one you have selected will affect the transfer timing.

3. When the payment is made. Banks have cut off times for transfers and money will move during normal banking hours. Weekends, and national holidays of your country, or destination country, may affect the payment completion timeline as well.

How do I get my transaction status?

You will receive email notifications with transaction updates. We will send these updates to the email you registered with.

Will HamsaPay charge my company for using HamsaPay?

HamsaPay does not charge transaction fees for any non USD transactions.There is a $10 fee for USD transactions, however we are waiving this fee indefinitely. Your bank may apply an additional fee separately.
